After seeing this episode, my mind was understandably dizzying number of interesting questions, but mostly I was left wondering why no one had ever bothered to actually tell me to look at before the Haven. I mean, on paper, is completely adrift Vista I could, because this is my first time to watch? I have no excuses, and no one to blame but myself, but I'm pretty disappointed now that I realize what I missed for so long.
If you're rusty on the details (or if you're like me, Haven for the first time) the episode begins with a summary of the speed of light of the events that led to the opening of the second season. Obviously, the relationships between all the characters are not fully explored in the writing, but once the story gets underway, it is fairly easy to pick up the pieces and pick up in the complex dynamics of the community.
Episode cast Haven general arcs with a disturbing mystery-of-the-week plot. When all the different textures, which are related to Audrey, Nathan, and Duke, I was surprised how well everything seemed to come together. Any stories received enough attention, while at the same time, never lingering too long on any one issue. Episode was peppered with plenty of offbeat humor, a dark and scary scenarios, the phenomena which I am sure that fans have come to expect Haven and love the series.
I liked the second season premiere of New Haven, and although obviously not to suggest the perfect introduction to the series, there are many interesting aspects of this episode that I am now determined to the first season marathon and catch up. As luck would have run Syfy episodes of season one all day on Friday, which should certainly help.
If you were a fan of this monster of the week episodes of The X-Files, Twilight Zone repeats the classic, or just on the fence watching Haven, I suggest you pick up and give this a shot series.
