The third fight between Cincinnati native Roger Bowling (9-1, 2-1 SF) and Bobby Voelker (23-8, 3-1 SF) will headline Strikeforce Challengers 17 in Las Vegas on July 22.
Bowling, who trains in MMA Queen City Vision, has made his Strikeforce debut against Voelker last May, but the match ended in controversy when Bowling was stabbed in the eye. Bowling was a technical decision, but the two met for the second time in October, and this time stopped Voelker Bowling with a second round TKO.
Bowling is returned to the March "Strikeforce: Columbus," to win a lopsided unanimous decision Josh Thornberg on paper beforehand.
Now, the two welterweights will compete in the main event of the Challenger Series card first to be held in Las Vegas, which will become the new permanent home of the perspective of the series.
